Can Bike 2

I had the great opportunity to attend the Can Bike 2 course this weekend.  I would highly recommend this course to every cyclist - beginner or experienced.  The course really helps to improve your skills in riding with traffic, dealing with emergencies and being more defensive and confident.  In fact, I think that anyone who rides a bike should be required to take this course by law.  We have to take drivers courses to operate motor vehicles.  Why not require a course for cyclists too?  There are so many unsafe cyclists out there.  Not only do these cyclists make the roads and sidewalks less safe for everyone - pedestrians, cyclists and motorists - but they also give a bad name to all cyclists.  Every time you ride your bike properly, share the road and use your hand signals, you are being a positive ambassador for cycling.  When you do the opposite, you only serve to infuriate others into disliking all cyclists.
