Point Tupper Heritage Association Museum

The Museum is housed in an 1893 Methodist/United church originally built in Sunnyside and later moved in the 1940's to Point Tupper. The Church was purchased by the Historical Association in the early 1990's and is now a Registered Municipal Heritage Building located at 165 Henry Paint Street.

The museum's purpose is to commemorate and preserve the past of the village of Point Tupper and surrounding areas. Point Tupper was once a vibrant community and the main entry point between mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island. The museum offers displays which depict the early history of the area, growth of the village and industrial development. Available at the museum are old photographs, maps, recorded interviews and a number of artifacts.

Operated by: The Point Tupper Heritage Association
