The Cabot Archives ( Neil's Harbour) includes a repository of local history documents, photographs and manuscripts serving the area north of Cape Smoky. The collection is comprised of donated materials from private individuals. Materials cover the period from the 1880s to the present, with the main focus being the extensive photographic collection and vertical files.
The collection provides a fascinating look at the lives of the Scottish, Irish, and Newfoundland (West Country) settlers in the Cape Smokey, Ingonish, Cape North and Meat Cove areas of Cape Breton.
