Father John Angus Rankin Cultural Centre

The Father John Angus Rankin Cultural Centre is located in the former Glendale Glebe house and is so named after a Parish Priest who spent 32 years in the parish, and who played an instrumental role in the preservation of the area's culture and music. Taigh-Tasgaidh Braigh'na h -Aibhneadgh, serves as a receptacle of local documents, maps and photographs of historical and cultural significance to the area, earlier known as River Inhabitants or Braigh'na h -Aibhneadgh. The Glendale Gaelic & Historical Society published a book of the community families in 2002, titled "Cuin is Buain: A Genealogical History of Glendale and Neighbouring Communities". The centre also has a CAP site on site for visitor convenience in keeping in touch by e-mail.
