Celtic Music Interpretive Centre Society (in Judique)
Located on the Ceilidh Trail in Inverness County along the "Fiddler's Mile." The Music Centre is the key to help you understand and experience local music flavours. Visit the Tom Rankin Interactive Exhibit Room where you can pick up a fiddle, try an 8-minute lesson, do some step-dancing with scenes from Mary Janet's instruction video, and learn about tune types from the Live Music Demonstration and the Wall of Tunes. Sunday Ceilidhs in the Ceilidh Kitchen every Sunday afternoon from 3 - 6:45 pm year round ( Call 787-2708 to confirm as on occassion events do change) Seasonal Lunchtime Ceilidhs in the Ceildh Kitchen Monday to Saturday, 11:30 am til 1:00 pm. CMIC Archives - research stories, tunes, listen to music, and read info files about Cape Breton musicians, past and present. Please call ahead if you have specific research queries. Open year round. 902 787-2068 Live Music Demonstration conducted by a local fiddler. Seasonal . The Buddy MacMaster School of Fiddling happens in October. Intermediate and Advanced lessons by 10 respected fiddlers. Special Performances: The Grand Finale in Ocober and others As advertised on the CMIC website.
