Highland Village Museum/An Clachan Gàidhealach

The Highland Village is a living history museum and folk life centre that celebrates the Gaelic experience in Nova Scotia. On a 43-acre hillside overlooking the world-renouned Bras d'Or Lakes, Nova Scotia's rich Scottish Gaelic culture comes alive with costumed staff, farm animals, period buildings and artifacts. The site features Gaelic language, forms of cultural expression, the only replica of a Hebridean-style blackhouse in North America and the church that was moved across the Bras d'Or Lakes.
