Main-a-Dieu Fishermen's Museum

The museum is dedicated to the history and on going livelihood of the community. There are many photos, newspaper clippings, ship replicas and artifacts in the museum that will take you back in time. The building is situated on "the head" overlooking the beautiful harbour. The contents and all the information were donated by local people. Fishing was and still is the main livelihood for Main-a-Dieu. The museum holds stories, pictures and interesting artifacts for the public.

After a walk through the museum you can sit in the replica of a ship's wheelhouse on top of "the head" overlooking the ocean. Then a walk on the trail following the ocean's shoreline is a must to do.
