| Sydney & Louisburg Railway Museum |
In the museum (a 1895 Sydney & Louisburg Railway Station), you will find photographs and artifacts telling the story of the S&L Railway, along with shipping activities in Louisburg Harbour and information (historical) on the modern-day town of Louisburg. The memorial rooms contains models constructed and donated to the museum by longtime S&L employee, Jim Hickman. The rolling stock consists of two passenger cars (c 1881 & 1914), a caboose, boxcar and tank car. A gift shop is located on the 1st floor of the msueum. In the original freight shed a working model of the S&L constructed by the Cape Breton Model Railroaders. In the Roundhouse is a display of handmade quilts, along with photos and the Morris models of "Morien Station" and "Mira Gut".
